Autonomous Operations — Zero Ground Crew Required

The DJI Dock 3 removes the human from the equation. Once installed and connected, it launches a Matrice 4D or 4TD, executes the mission, recovers the drone, recharges it, and readies it for the next sortie — automatically, around the clock, in any weather. This is the infrastructure for serious BVLOS operations in Tasmania and across Australia.

What Makes Dock 3 Different

  • First DJI Dock to Support Vehicle Mounting — Deploy the Dock on a vehicle tray for mobile, relocatable operations. Aircraft locks secure the drone and gimbal automatically when the cover closes for transport.
  • IP56 — A Step Up From Dock 2's IP55 — Better dust and water ingress protection for exposed installations on towers, rooftops, mine sites, and coastal monitoring stations.
  • -30°C to 50°C Operating Range — Tasmanian highlands in winter or north-west coastal summer — the Dock 3 keeps operating where personnel cannot.
  • 10-Second Takeoff — Advanced GNSS standby keeps positioning data current so the aircraft is in the air seconds after the command is issued.
  • 27-Minute Fast Charge — From 15% to 95% battery. Minimal ground time between sorties for high-tempo operations.
  • FlightHub 2 Integration — Full cloud-based mission planning, live view, payload control, and fleet coordination. On-premises server deployment option for sensitive operations.
  • Connectivity — Gigabit Ethernet or 4G cellular (requires DJI Cellular Dongle 2, sold separately). Redundant power protection meets EN 61643 Type 2 surge standards.

Applications in Tasmania

  • Remote infrastructure monitoring — powerlines, pipelines, forestry
  • 24/7 security surveillance of agricultural and industrial sites
  • Emergency services pre-positioning and rapid response
  • Automated environmental monitoring — waterways, coastline
  • Construction site progress documentation

Note: The DJI Dock 3 is sold exclusively through DJI Enterprise certified dealers. Pro Drone Services holds the relevant enterprise authorisation for Tasmania. Contact us to discuss site assessment, installation planning, and FlightHub 2 licensing. BVLOS operations require CASA approval — we can assist with the approvals process.
