Born and raised in Tasmania, Mark spent 25 years building a career in information technology before discovering his passion for unmanned aerial systems. In 2020, he founded Pro Drone Services Tasmania — combining deep technical knowledge with a genuine love for drones and the unique landscape of our great island state.
After obtaining his RePL (Remote Pilot Licence) and investing heavily in top-tier equipment, Mark quickly established Pro Drone Services as the go-to drone specialist across northern Tasmania. The business grew from aerial photography into agricultural drones, thermal inspection, underwater ROV services, and more recently — becoming Tasmania's authorised FPV Australia training agent.
"I started this business because I love the technology, but I've stayed in it because of the people. Watching a Tasmanian pilot obtain their license, helping them starting their own business, ressurecting drones of all sizes and creating new tech solutions to solve problems — that's what it's about for me."

"An hour with Mark and I was up and away. Learning the right way to fly safely from the beginning has saved me a lot of time, probably money, and was genuinely a lot of fun!"
"Do yourself a favour and book a lesson. I'm a far more competent and confident recreational pilot for it. Mark is patient, genuinely knowledgeable and doesn't make you feel like a beginner."
"I had no idea there were so many important rules to follow when flying a drone. Mark explained everything clearly — knowing when and where I can fly safely takes all the worry out of taking the drone out."
