DJI Agras Endorsement β€” CASA Sub-150kg Certification Tasmania

⚠️ Important: Purchasing a DJI Agras T50 or T100 doesn't give you the legal right to operate it commercially. You must hold a current CASA Sub-150kg certification and type endorsement for your aircraft. Why is this required? ↓

⚠️ Don't have a RePL?

To operate your Agras commercially you also need a Remote Pilot's Licence (RePL) β€” <25kg multirotor endorsement. We can enrol you in both simultaneously.

Why Is This Certification Required?

Under Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR), any remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 25kg must be operated under an approved Sub-150kg certification framework. The DJI Agras T50 (with full payload) and T100 both fall into this category.

Additionally, CASA requires operators to hold a specific type endorsement for their aircraft β€” demonstrating they have been trained and assessed as competent on that particular machine. Holding a general RePL is not sufficient on its own for these larger agricultural drones.

What this means for you:

  • βœ— You cannot legally operate an Agras T50 or T100 commercially without both qualifications
  • βœ— Your insurance may be void if you operate without the correct certifications
  • βœ“ This endorsement is specific to your machine β€” not transferable to other aircraft types without additional training
  • βœ“ Once certified, you can operate commercially across Australia
