How the Course Works

Online Theory Component
Work through the theory modules at your own pace before attending in person. Covers CASA regulations, airspace, meteorology, human factors, and aircraft systems.

Practical Flight Training
Hands-on flying with your instructor — preflight procedures, normal operations, emergency handling and manoeuvre competency.
⏱ 1–2 days in-person

Theory Assessment
Sit the FPV Australia theory assessment. Your instructor will prepare you thoroughly before you attempt this.

Practical Competency Check
Demonstrate your flying skills to an assessor in a structured evaluation of all required competencies.

CASA RePL Application
We assist you through the CASA licensing application and payment process. Your licence is issued digitally.

Common Questions

Do I need to be able to fly already?
No. We teach you to fly safely as part of the course. Some prior experience is helpful but absolutely not required.
Do I need my own drone?
We provide training aircraft during the course. If you have your own drone suitable for the endorsement, you're welcome to use it.
How long before I get my licence?
Typically 1–3 business days after your competency assessment, once we submit your CASA application.
